You can report almost anything you see that you think is wrong. This includes bribery, cheating, overcharging, forcible donations, extortion, scams, harassment in government
offices and anything else where you feel something’s fishy. Your email address or phone number is kept confidential. So don't worry, your identity will not be revealed.
Here are some common examples:
- A policeman asks you for a “fine” – without giving you a receipt.
- A speeding motorist pays a cop money to “settle” the matter.
- A shopkeeper asks you for extra money above the MRP for chilled drinks.
- The local festival group forces you for a donation.
- A real estate agent gives you fake property papers.
- Land assigned for a park is used to build a politician’s bungalow.
- You are redirected to ten counters at a government office, and finally you have to go through an “agent” who charges you a huge premium fee.
- An auto rickshaw driver's meter is running fast and he overcharges you.
- A gas company charges you extra for delivering for delivering an "out of queue" cylinder.
- A policeman asks you for a bribe to file an FIR
- A person at the income tax office harasses you for a bribe to "settle" a tax return.
These are just a few; there are so many more instances. This is the place to report all of them and share them with the community. These reports will be used by the authorities to track and reduce corruption!
There are some things which you should not report, though. You should not share things that are generally classified as civic problems. This includes fights, potholes, garbage, waterlogging, crimes, robberies improper maintenance, and domestic violence cases.
However, if you feel that corruption was the cause of these problems, and you know something about it, feel free to report it here.
